Confectionary Holding expects sales to increase about 15 to 20% for the next Chistmas Season

The production of Christmas sweets that will last until December has been brought forward a few weeks by the positive expectations of the company for the next Christmas campaign that provides a significant increase in sales between 15 and 20% in the markets it operates.

On this sense, General Director of Confectionary Holding Andrés Cortijo, has determined growth plans of 15-18% in the group’s exports through access to strategic countries and clients, including more than 45 countries where company sells its products.

Cortijos, stated that: “supply chain aligned with the new profiles and purchasing motivations of consumers focussed on the generation of added value and innovation are key to the growth of the company.” In his view, the United States, Latin America and Europe remain the main import markets of nougat, while in Asian countries demand increases mainly in chocolates. Confectionary Holding production for the Christmas season will be above 4 million Kg of products, among the traditional candies, along with chocolates, bakeries, as well as the Christmas typical sweets and marzipan. Moreover, innovations of the group will be present one more year such 1880 Tray selection that in just one year is on top five of the brand sales.

The group will generate direct and indirect employment to over 320 people.

During the production seasonal campaign, Confectionary Holding, both at Nougat Musem and Jijona and Alcaudete Production Plants,will be offering visitors the chance to know live the preparation process of  Christmas sweets.

In the Nougat Museum, recognized as an official museum of Valencia and integrated into the network of domestic tourism in the province of Alicante,are also available all the instruments and processes related to production of nougat and other Christmas  candy along the history of nearly 300 years of the company.
